About Me

I'm a big Star Wars fan and have been trooping in some costume groups in the last few years prior to deciding to modify my Vader costume. I sometimes troop at the Jedi Robe shop in London and local events. I remember seeing the special edition of Star Wars Episode IV in 1997 and it was like taking 'a step into a large world!' I love all the films and to me it is the timeless story of the never-ending struggle between Good vs Evil set in space. When I attended the Star Wars Celebration Europe in 2007 and saw loads of people trooping my first thought was, 'I wish I could do that.'

 

I'm a painter and artist and sometimes do portraiture, landscape and abstract paintings. You can check out my Art on my website below. Other areas of interest include History, Music, Cooking, Technology, models and memorabilia. I enjoy all aspects of film (both watching and taking part). I have been doing some work as a Film Extra in a variety of shoots from feature films to commercials. Who knows... maybe I could be an extra in one of the new Star Wars films. That would be awesome!

 

Timeline

 

1997: Saw Star Wars for the first time in my life when I saw the Special Edition of Episode IV: A New Hope at the cinema.

 

1999 - May 2005: Saw the Star Wars prequel trilogy in cinemas. After Episode III, I thought that was it and that there would be no more films since Episode completed the story of Anakin Skywalker's rise, fall and redemption.

 

July 2007: Attended the Star Wars Celebration Europe where I discovered the 501st Legion and UK Garrison. 

 

Autumn 2007: Attempted to join the UK Garrison.

 

2007 - 2011: Abandoned the 501st project but did some trooping with other groups (in a costume I bought in 2007).

 

2012: Decided to give my project a fresh start but this time signed up with the UK Garrison and Sith Lord Detachment forums to get help sourcing the parts. Interestingly I began at the same time when Disney acquired the franchise!

 

2013 - present: Beginning to source parts for ROTS Vader and Pre-armour Vader.

 

2015 - present: Started my WIP for ESB Darth Vader.

 

2017: Lightsaber modifications...
