It’s a 3-pin, male, xlr that doubles as 1/4”. But if you use 1/4”, you have to have a mic preamp like the Zoom.

Searching for it on Amazon is a complete pain.

NOW I understand your pain. That stinks. Is the 48v power option on? Most devices that offer phantom power have a switch.

Will this cheap one work? COMICA XLR MIC

This has got to stop. Does ANYONE know how to find a mic that works with this thing? No matter what I buy on Amazon, the plug doesn’t work.

If I search Amazon for headset mics with an NL4, the answers are sketchy at best. Every single mic that comes up doesn’t have an NL4 end.

This is absurd that Boss would choose this mic end.

Super annoying because it looks JUST like a NL4. But VaderAZ pointed out somewhere on this thread that it's a 1/4 input. I have no idea why Boss made it look that way.

Is there a cheap XLR mic I can plug into the Boss?

Microphones with XLR plugs get expensive quick. I've been researching different headset mics and how to power them for months. The Shure WH20 is one of the better cheaper options. This no name cardioid mic is the cheapest I've found but I've never heard of it. comica XLR Microphone CVM-V02C

I want an amazing voice and a simpler, reliable system.

Me too my friend. I’ve been researching a way to build a box to load our Zoom MS settings onto an SD card and run off a single board with audio ins and outs. It would be so much easier and lighter! If you haven’t seen it, I uploaded a test using my exciters and a Tronsmart speaker. It needs a little tweaking but I’d love you input.

You sound great, spot on in my opinion. The only thing I hear is a piece of equipment rattling or something. It seemed to go away when you turned your head to camera.

Your chest speaker pack is wonderful too. Is that custom?

It can pickup my breathing at times. I attribute this to two things. I'm not yet comfortable with being uncomfortable in the costume. That can cause my breathing to be erratic at times. Also, my helmet is cramped, causing the mic to rest relatively close to my mouth. Some adjusting usually resolves the problem.

    I appreciate you!

Really pleased. Speaker is only a few inches away from the mic and no feedback or interference. Voice is crystal clear before Zoom Kylo's it al up.

How’s the sensitivity? The cheap-o one I have now is just a touch too sensitive for my liking. Thanks man. I appreciate it.
